Annapurna Helicopter Tour starts from Pokhara since it is the closest take-off point for Annapurna Sanctuary. The total tour is about 2 hours long considering that each way flight takes 30 minutes. After 30 minute helicopter flight, you will receive a warm greeting from snow-capped mountains from Annapurna massif.
Annapurna is the world’s 10th highest peak in the world with an altitude of 8091m., and Annapurna trekking trail is one of the top ranked trekking trails in the world. It takes 10 to 20 days to complete the Annapurna Circuit on foot. Due to time constraint, not everyone has been able to participate in Annapurna trek.
Annapurna Base Camp which is also popular as Annapurna Sanctuary is located at 4130 m. above sea level. Since the Base Camp (Sanctuary) is surrounded by giant mountains of the Annapurna massif on all sides, it inarguably offers the best 360° panoramic mountain view in Nepal. The Annapurna mountain range contains six prominent peaks which are all over 7,000m in altitude. These mountains are Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Gangapurna (7,455m). Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Himlung and some other stunning mountain peaks are also visible during this tour.
We will spend approximately 30 minutes in Base Camp, which is very important for safety reason. Spending more than half an hour at Base Camp, which is above 4000 meter, may cause altitude sickness. However, thirty minutes will be more than enough for long waited sightseeing, capture some memorable moments for a lifetime, and to enjoy a warm & delightful Himalayan breakfast.
Our itinerary is 5 days long and includes your arrival, departure, one day city tour in Kathmandu besides Helicopter ride to Annapurna Base Camp. However, it is possible to book only helicopter flight only from Pokhara to Base Camp and back to Pokhara. We do customize the itinerary as per your requirements. Helicopter can also be used directly from Kathmandu to Annapurna Base Camp and back to Kathmandu.

On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our airport representative. You will be greeted traditionally with flower garlands. The representative will then take you to hotel where you will be served welcome drinks. In the afternoon, you can take a stroll around and visit shops, restaurants and bars. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, you will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and Pashupatinath. Alternatively, you can choose Bhakatapur and Patan sightseeing. By late afternoon you will drive back to your hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
25 minutes flight will take you to Pokhara. There are several flights from morning to afternoon available from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Pokhara is the tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples along with the magnificent views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many other mountain peaks.
If you choose to fly early morning, you will able to make Pokhara city tour. Pokhara city tour includes visiting of World Peace Pagoda, International Mountain Museum, David Falls, Bindhbasini Temple, Mahadev Cave, etc. during your Pokhara sightseeing. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
After early morning breakfast, you will drive to Pokhara airport for helicopter riding. Annapurna base camp is located at an elevation of 4130 meters above the sea level. Heli flight from Pokhara to base camp takes about 30 minutes. You will spend no more than 30 minutes at base camp due to safety reason. Gaining such altitude in a short span of time could cause Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Therefore, we do not recommend you to spend more than 30 minutes at base camp. We will try our best for base camp excursion, capture some unforgettable moments. At base camp, you will be served warm and delightful Himalayan breakfast with tea/coffee.
Annapurna base camp heli flight provides you opportunity to see mountains which are above 7,000m altitude. The mountain range includes Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Gangapurna (7,455m). Some other peaks visible from Annapurna mountain range are Khangsar Kang (7,485m), Annapurna Fang (7,647m), Tilicho Peak (7,135m), Nilgiri Himal North (7,061m), Machhapuchchhre (also known as Fishtail Mountain) (6,993m) and Hiunchuli (6,411m) and many others.
Fly back to Pokhara and transfer to hotel. You will have free day in Pokhara for recreation. Stay overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
